Dr. Aslam Qazi PT, MA, MJ, DPT
Dr. Aslam Qazi PT, MA, MJ, DPT is the founder and president of Excel Therapy. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Alabama State University. He also holds a Masters degree in Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola University and a Masters of Arts specializing in Development Disabilities from New York University. In over 30 years of experience as a physical therapist, he has worked in all different fields of therapy such as inpatient, outpatient, acute, sub-acute rehab, and home health. He started this practice over 12 years ago as a general physical therapy clinic but it quickly grew into a practice specializing in podiatric conditions such as ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis, post-surgical bunionectomy and chronic foot & ankle pains. Dr. Qazi is also extensively involved in treating acute and chronic orthopedic conditions involving back, shoulders, hips and knees. His clinic is equipped with state of the art modalities. He specializes in dry needling,kinesiotaping, micro current point stimulation and ATM 2 (active therapeutic movement) technique from Back Project.com. He uses Laser 830 nm for non-invasive pain treatments to avoid surgeries.He believes in movement sciences to balance the body structures, working on myofascial chains to improve posture and movement. Dr Qazi is certified in Multi functional movement technique, a unique approach using Yoga and martial arts to improve function.
Dr. Qazi’s passion for helping others lead him on the path to become a physical therapist. In his free time, Dr. Qazi enjoys traveling with his family, going on nature walks, and spending time with their family cat, Gizmo. He is very involved in his community and volunteers as the board president of Cormar Condo Association for over 13 years.He is an APTA member. With his outstanding achievements, he is making a phenomenal difference in the field of therapy.
